Pictures disappearing from albums?

Whenever I go onto twitter or any app in general, my photo albums picture quantity decreases. I know as a fact when I open my Photo app all 700 photos are in one album, yet whenever I open up twitter or another app, only 5 pictures remain inside the album. I do not know why this is happening. Does this happen to anyone else? Is there a solution to this problem?
